All classes will last approximately 3-hrs (unless otherwise noted), and are a combination of hands-on learning and chef-lead informational sessions. Come ready to learn and to enjoy the food you prepare at the end of class! We are BYOB! Glasses, openers and ice tubs are provided.
Steak! From rare to well done, a steak dinner is an iconic American tradition. In this class, Chef Nate will recreate the American Steakhouse experience through a combination of hands-on learning and Chef demonstration. He will guide you through the preparation of recipes such as Rib-eye cooked to perfection with Mushroom Duxelles, Smashed Potatoes, Traditional Caesar Salad, and for dessert...Bread Pudding, prepared to your tastes.
Our Chefs created an indulgent menu for a fun, romantic evening of chef demonstration dishes, with the opportunity to either observe or assist the chef for those who want a more hands on experience...that's your choice. Your date night includes a seasonal Soup, followed by a seasonal Salad. Your main course will be a rich and delicious Herb Crusted Beef Tenderloin topped with a Red Wine Sauce and Mashed Seasonal Root Vegetables. And, what decadent meal would be complete without dessert? For that sweet finish, Panna Cotta.
Oktoberfest is known throughout the world for its celebration of all things beer, sausage, and pretzel. Join us at the Culinary Craft Workshop for our own version of this traditional Bavarian festival! A variety of German meats, cheeses, and mustards will be provided to snack on during class, and students will participate in the production of soft pretzels, German potato salad, sausages roasted with apples and onions, and smoked pork loin with sauerkraut. We are BYOB here at the shop, so bring a friend and your favorite German beers or wine!
Through a combination of hands-on learning and Chef demonstration you will learn to make several German favorites. The menu consists of Sour Beef and Dumplings with Glazed Root Vegetables as well the traditional schnitzel and Spaetzle. Curious how to pair your favorite brew with good food? In this class, our Chef Pat, who learned to brew beer in Germany, will be discussing how to properly pair a variety of beers with accompanying foods.
Beer Class Pairings:
First Course: Beer Batter Tempura Vegetables, Shrimp and a dipping sauce, paired with a Lager/Golden Ale
Second Course: Duck Breast, Seasonal Vegetable Risotto with Pan Sauce, paired with English Style Barley Wine
Third Course: Adult Floats with Weizen Doppelbock/Double Chocolate Stout
Since you will only be sampling our beers, please feel free to bring your own beers of your choosing.
Join us for the fun and informative event with Chef Pat. He will be demonstrating some our favorite Culinary Craft Workshop recipes and pairing them with wines selected for us by the experts at the Wine Bin. Guests will get the opportunity to sample each recipe and a wine specifically chosen to pair well with that dish. The Chef will be discussing how to properly pair wine with food, as well as answer all of your foodie questions. As a Chef with extensive wine knowledge, classically trained at the Culinary Institute of America, learned brewing in Germany, and worked at a winery in California.

Through a combination of hands-on learning and Chef demonstration, in the Maryland Cooking Workshop you will be preparing a variety of celebrated local recipes from the Old Line State. During this class you will be learning to prepare dishes such as Maryland Crab Cake Sandwiches, Corn Soup, Ham Hock Green Beans, and of course our unique version of Maryland's own Smith Island Cake.
Baltimore has long been know as Charm City! And, no culinary trip of Maryland is complete without a visit to Baltimore! Through a combination of hands-on learning and Chef demonstration, in the Charm City Cooking Workshop you will be preparing a variety of celebrated local Baltimore recipes. During this class you will be learning to prepare dishes such as Pit Beef Sandwiches with Horseradish Sauce, Maryland Crab Soup, Homestyle Cole Slaw, and of course Baltimore's own Fudge-Covered Shortbread...which for legal reasons we can't call by name, shhhh!
Nearly nothing says Creole cooking like a hot, steaming bowl of delicious Louisiana Gumbo, brimming with chicken, sausage and shrimp and spiced just right! Come for the Gumbo, stay for the Dirty Rice! Through a combination of hands-on learning and Chef demonstration, we’ll be exploring Louisiana cooking while making Gumbo and Dirty Rice.
In this hands on Chef led class you will be learning to make such Cajun favorites as Jambalaya, Alligator Bites, and Blackened Catfish with Remoulade .
Through hands-on learning with our Chefs, our Pizza Workshop you will teach you the necessary cooking and baking skills to prepare a delicious pizzas at home. During this class you will be learning proper technique and gaining knowledge needed to not only cook pizzas, but select and combine toppings and sauces to create unique and delicious pizzas for your friends and family.
Join us for classic and contemporary dishes aimed at minimizing your after-dinner cleanup. Traditional Italian Risotto with seasonal ingredients, southwestern inspired Chili and an aromatic Moroccan Chicken Stew.
Guests will create their own great fortune in 2023 by making and bringing home a chubby mocha cream & chiffon cake log with chocolate ganache bark, and the sort of meringue fungus that actually would grow on a fallen cake tree!
This Chef lead baking workshop will walk you through the steps to make your own Buche de Noël, a great way to impress friends and family, while making any holiday table more festive. Students will be able to take their finished cake with them!
In this once a year special Holiday class, guests will jump right in to learn the finer points of roasting with a very special menu of seasonal favorites and delicious specialties. Through a combination of hands-on learning and Chef demonstration you will be learning to cook dishes such as Prime Rib, Roast Duck, Roasted Squash & Seasonal Vegetables, Mixed Greens Salad with Goat Cheese and Roasted Nuts, and finally for dessert, that holiday classic Figgy Pudding. *Spatchcocking is the process of removing the backbone of a whole Turkey so that the bird lays flat, vastly shortening the cooking time, yet sill allowing for crispy brown and delicious skin!
